The death of autotune and labels such as hipster, scenester, emo kids and brosters

sorry freinds but the music hasnt arrived yet. still i feel like talking about a pressing issue (pardon my shitty writing skills).
Is it just me or is every label we use on today's youth a bloated corpse of worthlessness. Sure everything started with a sense of whimsy or a cheery way writing of some asshole. But now its just going to turn into a straight face shitty reenactment of the warriors. All these lame gangs so pigeon holed it Just that it loses all the fun that being out and about should bring. Whats worse is the fuckers that constantly harp on these labels like its there only sense of comic relief. How about you try on a shit label for a change. How about the play-it safesters, or mainstream 50s nostalgia lovers (not greasers or beats but those sock-hop ice cream social douche bags) or Conservtron grandpa kids these kids have less charm than 3rd rate vegas entertainer. That shits not coming up off the radar! I don't blame kids for being boring and judgemental but it seems the media has won when we do all the label work. Remember Gen X'ers or Gen Y or any horrible buzz words invented to stifle or stereotype people into oblivion. when you listened to Nirvana in the early 90s you didn't say to yourself " Wow this is some great Alternative-grunge music made by my favorite gen X dudes" its sounds unnatural and barfable. The true Irony is that kids have so much potential creatively and in there persuite to find there voice and yet in there development they are stiff with apprehension. All they can see is crap categories they have to commit to. Thank god current scenes don't have the answers. Our aging brains are overcooked with bad blood like the tail end of gangster rap combined with the overipened hair metal flair in 89. You need a little room and open dialogue to get any substantial social anomalies that you can be proud to call counter culter. Heck, maybe we can thwart the media from trying to define the next coming movements. We can go back to making them fear the sense of unity and vigilance. kids can pick up were the civil rights movement left off and we can have a renassance or some sort of age of enlightenment. Anything remotely positive is better than puritanical label wars. hahaha brosters...were fucked. Comments?

Just tell me when we groove again

Today was a decent day and while cleaning up my apartment with the ipod on shuffle I was inspired to share some more tracks. Mostly disco and house oriented tracks that may keep you going through the day.

Man made science featuring Haldor Laegrid- Just tell me when...(Vox Mix)

I love this tracks down tempo disco house sexiness. The vocals are hypnotic and evoke a sense of yearning for past hot and heavy nights with a significant other. Hmmm, but hot damn! This might be like Berry White in a current relationship. It will turn "doing it" into making love hahaha.

Grace Jones- The hunter gets captures gets captures by the game

For a while I was pretty naive about Grace Jones, this was until I heard her amazing work. Genius disco tracks like "pull up to my bumper" and this one as well are infectious. Also props to Tiga because I first heard this on one of his podcasts, check em out.

Tennis Hero- Midnight love

Holy shit! its that northern European down tempo. This could liquefy all those knots in your mind. Once again with that bitter sweet recollection of the love in the days of yore. If you come across anything by Tennis Hero its going to be good because this music producer has his chill skills on lock.

Sebastian Tellier- L'amour et la violence (Boys Noize euro mix)

to me this remix just showcases Sebastian Tellier tender vocals in a dramatic and club friendly way. Plus it shows a softer side of the of maestro of club bombshells known as Boys Noize. Its the meeting of to great dance music minds.

Glass candy- Poison or Remedy

Glass candy is on the amazing label "Italians do it better." strange female vocals over easy going piano disco production. That's good stuff.

I am currently in the works of transferring files to another computer and when I complete this Billy D.'s will have sounds to sample. I do believe in supporting musicians by buying there music. However exposure is always positive so ill try to post talented producers music.

Some nice starters

like many youthful dance music lovers I was looking for big tracks that could send a crowd ape shit. And while I still respect a good dance floor brain ripper, I realized it is but one shade of the many shades of awesome you can find out there. Here is some well made smooth grooves that can kick off things or even bring you down gently to get that stress out.

Tensnake- I was holding back my love
this guy is smooth. this track is like taking your favorite slow jam and putting a four-four beat on it. actually just look for anything by Tensnake and be amazed. Currently though this is my favorite.

Knightlife- crusader
this is a little more up tempo still smooth. if you like the down tempo disco sounds of the early eighties (this includes real percussion melding with tasty synthesizers) give it a listen.

Iron Curtis- Solgerhood
This right here is my current favorite. If you like house oriented music but your looking for something without a retro or revivalist feel this may be the ticket. Its elegantly minimal (not boring or snobby) with a dash of tech house refreshment. to me its brains and beauty. Also Iron Curtis is label mates with Tensnake on the record label Mirau music wich is a quality record label.

Woolfy-Neeve (permanent vacation tropical heat mix)
this is for if you yearn for the sounds of some far off tropical paradise. I like it when dance tracks incorporate recordings of jungle noises, birds or sounds that evoke the images of the outdoor world. if your looking for quality down tempo Woolfy has many tracks including the original Neeve you might fancy so check him out.

Quixote-before I started to dance (Prinz Thomas edit)
smooth summer guitar strummin with chill vocals. Prinz Thomas has the magic touch to take this track nice to blissfully nice

That concludes my kick off list for now. In the future I will try to post some tracks to share with whom ever. Until then Hit up other blogs, Itunes, Beatport or possibly Bleep.com to hear what these tracks are like.

Keep it breezy,
